There is a problem with the product for a customer and I can no longer fulfill it. What should I do now?
There can be many different issues with fulfilling a product and all of them have different solutions:
1. If the product is no longer available or has risen in price compared to when you listed it, you should first attempt to find the product at a cheaper price at a different supplier. If there is no possible way to acquire the product, you should let your buyer know of this as politely as possible. Reference the video in Pro section going over 'Problems' for some examples on how to respond.
2. Recall/issues with a product. In some rare cases you might find that the product that was earlier available is now not available due to Amazon investigation. In such a case, you should let the buyer know that the product is currently under investigation due to some past complaints and you wouldn't feel right shipping them the product knowing there are potential issues with it. Issue a refund at the same time and more than likely you will receive a positive feedback as well :)
3. In the event that the price on a product has gone up, you should still consider getting it to your customer, even if you make very little or no profit to make sure you receive positive feedback. You can include a message to the buyer to the effect that "Looks you got it just in time since the price has gone up ;) " Simple personal touches like this lend to good feedback :)
