Treat your home based business like a million dollar business

--Create a business plan. It does not have to be elaborate, unless you want it to be. It can be as simple as a one handwritten page.

Here are the elements of a basic business plan:

• A Vision Statement - The Blueprint - You will never go anywhere or stand for anything unless you have an idea of the vision for your business or where you want to go with it. Take some time and think of your vision statement.
• Goals - You can't execute your vision or get where you want to go without the map or the steps to get you there. Your goals are you steps or map to get to your vision. From Income to Marketing -- Create long and short term goals with deadlines for your business.
• Accountability - Create checklists for your daily goals and have a daily method of operation in place for efficiency.

Don't forget: Write It Down! Put your simple business plan in a place where you can see it often. For example the first page of your planner. Your business plan is fluid you can always adjust it to fit your needs.
