eBay Tips: How To Request Final Value Fees After A Return or Refund

When you have processed a return or given back a refund. You have to cancel the transaction as well for the listing to receive a final value fee credit.

Here are the steps to follow:                                                

1. Contact the buyer to see if they'll agree to cancel the transaction. Let them know they'll be contacted by eBay to start the process.

2. When you hear back from the buyer, you can cancel the transaction by opening a case.

3. The buyer has up to 7 days to respond. If you haven't heard back after 7 days, you can close the case and you'll receive a final value fee credit within 10 business days.
